Is my donation tax-deductible?
Donations within Germany are tax-deductible.
What is my donation going into?
100% of your donation goes directly into water projects in developing countries. Our water projects include material costs, local staff costs, and transportation costs. In order to insure sustainability, our partners train community members on maintenance and establish a local WASH Committee that teaches villagers how to practice hygiene measures.
Why does it take up to 21 months to build a water project
We work in the most remote areas in the world. Some of them don‘t even have roads in order to get access to the communities. This means that it takes a lot of time and effort in order to transport the materials to the location of the water project. Additionally, natural disasters and political unrest can impact the duration of our work.
I did not get a confirmation email. What can i do?
Everytime you donate to ynspirewater a confirmation email will be sent to you. If however you won‘t receive a confirmation email please let us know and we will make sure to solve the problem within 24 hours.
How can i cancel my monthly donation?
If you are already registered at ynspirewater and have your own account, you can simply log in and change your monthly donation settings. If you don‘t have an account please contact us directly at [email protected] and let us know that you would like to cancel your monthly donation and we will cancel it for you.
Can i change my monthly giving amount?
Yes, you can change your monthly giving amount. Just log in to your profile or contact us at [email protected] for more details.
Fundraising
How can i fundraise for ynspirewater?
The easiest way to fundraise for clean water is to give up your birthday. After setting up your birthday campaign simply ask your friends and family for donations instead of presents. In case your birthday is not coming up anytime soon there are many other ways to fundraise. You can host a dinner party, do a garage sale, tutor someone, run a marathon, train to lose weight and much more. How do i let people know about my campaign?
Once your campaign is set up you should tell family and close friends about it. Let them know why you are fundraising for clean water. Send emails or whatsapp messages to friends, coworkers, etc. You can also share your campaign on your social media profiles to reach even more people.
When will i get information about the project i’ve helped fund?
Once your campaign is finished we will regularly update you and your supporters on the process of our work. Since we work in remote places, it can take between 18 and 21 months to complete a water project. From the moment construction starts, you will receive media updates on the progress in the communities.
Can i delete my campaign?
Yes – at least as long as your campaign has no donations. Campaigns with donations however can not be deleted.

How does the 100% Model work?
At ynspirewater we have two bank accounts – one for operating costs and the other one for water projects. Like-minded individuals, families and business people cover all of our operating costs so that 100%.of all public donations go right into water projects and bring clean water to people in need. We even cover transaction costs. So if you donate $100, $100 dollars will go into water projects.
