Meet the Team
CEO & Founder
Hi everyone, my name is Sascha and I'm the founder at ynspirewater. I am a proud father to two amazing children and a loving husband to my incredible wife Nicole. Before I founded ynspirewater, my entire life was about chasing my childhood dream of becoming a professional soccer player. I was obsessed with the process of hard work and quitting soccer at a young age due to a series of injuries was very hard for me at the time. It took me quite some time to find something new that I would really have a passion for again. A couple of years ago I started supporting some well known Non-Profit-Organizations in order to help children in need. Supporting these organizations helped me learn a lot about the suffering and extreme poverty people and especially children in developing countries had to face every single day. The one thing I got really emotionally attached to though, was the watercrisis. I was shocked and it made me really sad seeing how little girls had to carry heavy jerry cans for many hours every day to collect dirty water for their families, how women suffered because they had no hope for the future or how children died from drinking dirty water. I felt the inner urge to do something about that and help these people. The problem that I had though was that I didn't trust charities! I had no idea where my money was going and I never felt like my donations were really getting to the people who needed them most. That was the beginning of ynspirewater. It was important to me that people would know exactly where their money went and that 100% of their donation would go right into the water projects in developing countries. ynspirewater is a young, cool, and inspiring organization that builds a platform for people to experience some amazing emotions by seeing the difference they make in people's lives. It's our goal to inspire people - this is why we focus on spreading inspirational stories of our supporters - how for example a young boy wishes for donations instead of birthday presents in order to bring clean water to people in need. I love being part of such an incredible team and I am very proud of how hard we work every day in order to make a difference in the world.
Finances & Transparency
Hey, my name is Philip and I'm in charge of all finances and tax related topics at ynspirewater. I make sure that we keep word to our 100% promise and that we give full transparency to our donors. Since my first visit to Africa a couple of years ago, I was eager to come back one day and help children escape poverty. ynspirewater gives me this chance. It makes my dream come true to bring clean water to people and especially children in need and help them have a better life. This is what motivates me every day.
Hi everyone, my name is Christian, I am 27 years old and I am just about to finish my masters degree in computer science. I probably wouldn't see myself as the typical passionate programmer but I simply love solving problems and developing things that have a positive impact in people's lives. At ynspirewater I am responsible for all technical topics (website, email, etc.). So if anything goes wrong here it is unfortunately my fault. The reason I joined ynspirewater is not only because our CEO did a great job convincing me but also because I feel that it is my responsibility to make the world a little better every day. Together with our amazing team I have the huge opportunity to personally grow in every way possible and by doing so help reach our vision of bringing clean water to people in need.
Hey everyone, my name is Kristina (25), I study Marketing Psychology and I work at a Media Agency in Kassel. I love working at ynspirewater and knowing that 100% of the donations go directly to people in need makes the hard work and time that we invest every day all worth it! Giving back and helping people in developing countries that don't have the privilege of having access to clean water is an incredible feeling. I'm very proud that we funded our first well and I'm looking forward to making a lot more people happy in the future by having access to clean water.
Hi everyone, my name is Felix, I'm 22 years old and I study sports management and communication in cologne. At ynspirewater I work for their Social Media and Program Development Team. We're constantly working on creating an outstanding customer experience for all of our supporters. ynspirewater not only gives me the chance to use all of my skills in the best way possible but also gives me the opportunity to make a difference in the world by helping bring clean water to people in need.
Hey everyone! My name is Jenny, I'm 22 years old and I work in the administration office at the city hall. At ynspirewater I am part of the Customer Experience and Social Media team. When Sascha told me about his idea he helped me realize how many people in the world suffer from not having access to clean water. I decided to become a part of this amazing team, so that we can change the world together. I love working at ynspirewater and knowing that I can help people have a better life makes me very happy. Seeing the joy in a child's face after getting clean water motivates me every day to help even more people.
Hey everyone, my name is Christin, I am 25 years old and I'm a photographer at ynspirewater. I supported charities for a long time but always wondered where my money actually went. When Sascha started his mission on ending the water crisis and showed us pictures and videos from his first trip to Africa I was shocked by the extreme poverty. Thanks to ynspirewater I have hope for the future and I'm really happy about what we've accomplished in the last couple of months. We have a name, a purpose, and a unbelievable passionate team, that works hard to safe lives. I am very grateful for everything that has happened so far, and am very excited about bringing more smiles to people in developing countries by helping them get clean water.
Hi everyone, my name is Nicole, I am 31 years old and come from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. I am a full time mother of two and teach English as a second language on the side. At ynspirewater I am part of the customer experience and social media team. Having two children of my own and seeing what is going on in the 3rd world countries just breaks my heart. I had the urge to do even more than what I was currently doing. We have been donating for years to multiple charities but I never knew exactly where our money was going and I also knew that not all of it was going to where it was needed the most. So that is why we started ynspirewater, bringing trust back into charities, where you see exactly where your donation is going and know that 100% is going to where it should. It's only been 2 months since we've started and we are already able to fund our first water project in Ethiopia. It has been a lot of work and I know that there will be even more to come but I am extremely proud of our team and am really looking forward to the future in getting that little bit closer to ending the water crisis.
Hey guys, my name is Marcel, I'm 32 years old, and I work as a logistics manager at Volkswagen. At ynspirewater I'm in charge of all legal topics. I currently live in Gudensberg with my wonderful wife, and three children whom I like spending as much time with as possible. My children were lucky enough to be born into a world where they would never have to worry about having access to clean water. Unfortunately in many developing countries children are born into a completely different world. Being a part of ynspirewater gives me the chance to help these children and make the world a better place. This is what motivates me every day.
Hey everyone, my name is Benne, I'm 24 years old and I'm doing my bachelor of education at Kassel University. At ynspirewater I'm mainly responsible for social media related topics. Since I love working with people I'm also very engaged in Program Development and Campus Teams. Even though I see myself as a very helpful person I never imagined that I would work for a non-profit one day. But when Sascha told me about his idea I was immediately blown away. Being a part of ynspirewater gives me the chance to use my creativity and social skills to help people in developing countries who weren't as lucky as me in life. Bringing a smile to a child's face and giving them hope in life is what motivates me every day.
